Venice is eerily empty, both in the lagoon and the city. But we can still around and the best way to do that is by .
Kayaking around the lagoon is something you simply must do, but in the city you need a Gondola, and that's a much more difficult prospect.
We are lucky enough to be with Tommaso who is a master gondolier here in Venice and he took us out in an empty city.
Venice is stunning at all times, but seeing it empty like this eerily beautiful. Of course it's very news for the local businesses though. Venice lives on its tourism and Covid has killed it. Added to that we had more floods this week, something the locals thought was a thing of the past now they have the Mose barrier protecting the lagoon.
