We are Ben and MP!
Recently we decided to purchase a two-masted 70ft wooden schooner in Brazil. The fun detail about our story is that the boat we bought was sinking and relying on many bilge pumps to survive so we had to lift it onto the dry to start a full refit.
In this episode, we discover more rot (oh well) and in order to get rid of it, we need to remove a huge piece of the boat: the swimming platform! Also, we continue with the building of the sternpost and we need to drill an 11cm wide and over a meter long hole for the prop shaft…using hand tools!! And more: We brought the keel to the boat and this time we are finally very close to its installation! Yabá is looking better every day and we can prove it! We hope you enjoy this! X
