We’re back on Archer! Five months in 20 minutes is all it took! We show you the repair process and share what it felt like to get “home.”
We owe a huge THANK YOU to both teams at Outremer and the Raiatea Carenage Boat Yard. We are incredibly impressed with how Outremer supported us (even as a second owner) and helped ship the parts we would need to properly repair Archer. And for the Carenage and their expert workmanship. Without them, Archer would not be the same, so THANK YOU!
We also want to thank Seth’s parents for letting us stay with them in Cape Cod for five long months! Had we not just rented out our home in California we could have stayed there, but with nowhere else to turn, we really appreciated them putting up with us for so long. It was quite special in the end – and we definitely made Lemonade out of Lemons! We miss you JoAnne and Toby!
This video was shot before Covid. We are POSTING LIVE UPDATES ON SOCIAL:
ABOUT US: We are a family of five sailing around the world on our “dream boat,” a performance catamaran named “Archer.” Ten years ago B.K. (“before kids”), we sailed a Lagoon 380 named “Honeymoon” halfway around the world to Sydney, Australia. Along the way we shared our experiences via YouTube and, by happenstance, created one of the first “sailing channels.” We also realized what an incredible experience we were having and that someday we wanted to do it again, only this time with kids.
OUR ROUTE has taken us from the Boston/Cape Cod area of the United States down to the Caribbean and through the Panama Canal. We have dealt with massive repairs in the South Pacific, the Coronavirus lock down in New Zealand, a Category 5 Cyclone in Fiji, and now we are cruising in Covid Free Australia. Videos for all of this to come!
