It was a shock to be threatened with arrest and have our passports taken away when trying to check out of Croatia. We have had problems before with Croatian officials but we really didn’t expect this level of illegal activity.
When we realised we were dealing with corrupt police officers we started secretly filming. This is not something we would recommend doing as it could get you in a lot of trouble but in this case we felt it important to show the level of corruption in Croatian Ports and hope that the exposure might lead to some sort of change.
It’s a shame that the headline of this episode was this incident as we also visit Montenegro which is absolutely stunning. Do make sure you watch the second half of the video to see how amazing sailing in Montenegro is. We really do recommend sailing here to everyone.
