We’re finally heading south, 15 days later than we planned after all the problems with our steering cable and the broken Volvo engine MDI. We head straight for Martinique, the largest yachting centre in the West Indies, where the order of the day is to stock up on critical spares (ones that we did not think we need on a new yacht…) in preparation for heading into the waters of the Pacific, where spares and repair centres are few and far between…
