CATAMARAN BUILD – Can 4 People Lift A Transom Into Place? (MJ Sailing – Ep 211)

catamaran-build-can-4-people-lift-a-transom-into-place-mj-sailing-ep-211

With only 4 people, we manage to lift our 25 ft, 300 pound transom into place.

In this week’s episode, we focus on not only lifting the transom to get it up to the bridge deck, but find what’s necessary to get it to, more or less, fit like a glove.

We have four people and a set of scaffolding, but you’ll have to tune in to find out how we use it!

One thing we did realize is that our two aft bulkheads were just a little too high, but we needed the transom in place to figure out exactly how much to cut down and where. So, guess who gets to slide into a space just big enough to fit their body so they can make the markings on the bulkheads?

We hope you enjoy!

Much love from Annapolis!
Jessica, Matt & Georgie
