Sailing to GALAPAGOS – Lightning Storms & Boobies on Board | Sailing Tranquilo | Ep. 79

pacific pearl sailing

We’re bound for the Galapagos Islands!

First stop Las Perlas Islands just off Panama to clean the hull – Tranquilo has to be spotless to enter pristing Galapagos – and then we’re off for the fabled islands! Along the way we meet the boobies, mahi mahi couples, and an armada of frolicking dolphins. But it’s not all jolly sailing as we dodge the intertropical convergence zone’s lightning storms – not exactly fun when you run the risk of frying all your electronics…

And it’s the first crossing of the Equator by sea for all of us, so it’s all fun and games for us Pollywogs!
