Although a lot of our time is spent maintaining our floating home, we sometimes get the chance to really get to know a place. Here on the island of Faial, in the Azores, Fire and Water collide to somehow create these vast landscapes of lush greenery and a very unique culture among all this rugged beauty. Although this is a pit stop on our way to the Mediterranean, we’re beginning to feel that these Islands may be our favorite sailing destination yet.
