There’s been lots of talk about hybrid propulsion. How many modes does it have, and what do they do?

We hope you’re ready for A LOT of information on electric hybrid boats, because this episode is FULL of it!! So much that my brain actually hurts from editing all of it, lol. (But that’s also because I get to re-watch the same footage 80 times, I won’t make you do that.)

In this episode, Matt and I depart for Vietnam to do sea trials on Hull 6. This boat is a big deal, because it’s Max Cruise’s first electric hybrid – although – each boat going forward has chosen this option.

Matt dives into the logistics of the hybrid system, describing the six potential ways it can be used. We take a tour of the yard to see the progress on the other hulls since we’ve been there, and then it’s time to get on the water!

Next week you’ll see us testing the sails, but this week we wanted to show you how the electric hybrid performs and why it is such a great option for cruisers out there.

We hope you enjoy!

Much love from Annapolis!
Jessica, Matt & Georgie
