This week we get out of the tent and onto the water, as we help the guys from Kentmorr to bring in a boat for demolition. It’s anchored up the Severn River, across the Chesapeake Bay, so the 4 of us load up onto Tucker’s trawler to grab it.
As we hear more about it from Alex along the way, Matt and I begin to wonder, ‘If this boat is in decent enough shape…maybe we can take it!!’. It’s not an uncommon thing around this marina, for boats scheduled for demolition, to be snatched up by another person as a project boat. In fact, Tucker’s trawler we’re on was the same case!
After attaching a bridle to the sailboat and towing it back over to Kentmorr, Matt and I are able to get onboard and give this old Hunter sailboat a good look around to see if it could be a potential home. Getting inside though, we notice it would need A LOT of work!!
