We set from our beautiful Anchorage at Labengke island thinking it would be a pretty easy day. We had researched the islands ahead and picked out 5-6 potential anchor spots using satellite imagery.
One after another they turned out to be not . Too deep, to close to the reef, exposed to wind, rocky bottom, they just didnt work.
When you are in a region that not many other sailors visit and there is no information in guide or digital apps then you just have to go and find out for yourself.
It was a very long day and we were all totally worn out and facing a night when I decided to try one last spot.
Did it work out?
Enjoy
