We set sail from our beautiful Anchorage at Labengke island thinking it would be a pretty easy day. We had researched the islands ahead and picked out 5-6 potential anchor spots using satellite imagery.
One after another they turned out to be not good. Too deep, to close to the reef, exposed to wind, rocky bottom, they all just didnt work.
When you are sailing in a region that not many other sailors visit and there is no information in guide books or digital apps then you just have to go and find out for yourself.
It was a very long day and we were all totally worn out and facing a night passage when I decided to try one last spot.
Did it work out?
Enjoy
