Welcome to our boat refit on our aluminium catamaran, SV Emma James. This week we are gaining a new crew member and working on oour anchor and chain. Our ground tackle maintenance involves getting ALL the chain out of the anchor locker, cleaning, re-galvanizing, measuring, painting, tieing knots, etc etc.

Ahoy! We are the James Family, a family of three sailing around the world and sharing our adventures in family-friendly episodes every week! Sam is originally from New Zealand, Cait is originally from the United States; we met in Cairns, Australia and a few years later during Covid-19 we eloped and then a year later our family grew and we welcomed Charlie!
