We have sparked debate in the yard of weather we have just ruined our boat or made it better. We are currently in the middle of a major refit to our aluminium catamaran and we have just cut the skegs off our boat.
Our hulls are asymmetrical and we have found the skegs to be toed in. We are chopping off the skegs and fixing up the stern tubes to have a smaller underwater profile.
Join us in this week’s episode as we explain everything

ABOUT US:
Ahoy! We are the James Family, a family of three sailing around the world and sharing our adventures in family-friendly episodes every week! Sam is originally from New Zealand, Cait is originally from the United States; we met in Cairns, Australia and a few years later during Covid-19 we eloped and then a year later our family grew, and we welcomed Charlie! We took the big plunge in 2022 and decided to follow our dream, sold everything, and purchased an old, unfinished, aluminum Catamaran and we are now fixing her up as we sail around the world. Subscribe and follow our journey!
