This week we check out the high performance sails, just like the ones we will be ordering for our new Portofino 52, that have been heavily used for almost 3 years by the Slovenian Olympic Sailing Team. After that time pop heavy and aggressive use, we wee how they are lasting and if the moulded technology of One Sails does live up to their promise of a life span of 7-8 years!
We also see a large asymmetric spinnaker or gennaker with the cable less furling system of One Sails that uses the IFS (Integrated Furling System) using dyneema to create the furling while increasing the volume of the sail, while dramatically making it lighter and cheaper – sounds like winning on every count!!!
Then we take you back to our cursing in Greece where we sail from Kos to Pserimos, and then Vathy on Kalymnos to have some exciting berthing experiences, cliff jumps and experience the amazing village…. Of course not to be missed is the original SpongeBob- the self appointed “harbourmaster” of Vathy that wears a sponge on his head while directing boats in the berths! Not to be missed!!!
