Sea turtles, especially hatchlings, rely on natural light like the moon reflecting on the ocean to guide them to the sea. Bright white lights can confuse and disorient them, but red lights are gentle on their vision. Using red lights help ensure the turtles stay on track and safely make their way to the water without being distracted by artificial lighting.**
