It’s finally happening—we’re starting the structural repair of our historic sailing ship, Flying Coney!
In this first episode of our new frame repair series, we’re tackling the very first—and very dusty—step: removing the thick concrete so we can access and repair the broken frames of our steel trawler.
We bring Flying Coney to the shipyard, fire up the jackhammers, and start chipping away at the decades-old concrete layer.
Flying Coney is an 82-foot historic steel ship that we are restoring to her former glory as a beautiful sailing vessel. Once the refit is complete, our dream is to set sail across the oceans, sharing the adventure and teaching traditional sailing skills along the way.
