Chartering a ‘Sailboat’ In The Saronic Sea (MJ Sailing – Episode 383)

For six days, we traded our usual boatbuilding routine for a sailing adventure through Greece’s beautiful Saronic Islands.

Matt and I took on the role of skippers aboard a Bali 4.4 catamaran, joining a fleet of nine boats for a sailing festival that brought together fellow sailors, other creators, and viewers who came along to experience it all firsthand.

From snorkeling over the ruins of an ancient sunken city to exploring Poros, enjoying some incredible meals, and attempting our first Med mooring, there was no shortage of memorable moments. And, of course, a little bit of chaos along the way!

The trip wrapped up with a challenging passage back to the marina as strong northwesterly winds made their way through the islands. It was a fitting reminder that even in the beautiful Mediterranean, the weather gets the final say.

A different kind of adventure for us, but one that reminded us how special it is to bring people together through a shared love of sailing.

Thanks to everyone who joined us on the water!
