Good day my Savvy!

Today, we shall delve into the art of tying a Reef Knot. So grab your trusty rope and follow along as we unveil the secrets of this knot.

To tie a Reef Knot:

1. Start by tying two overhand knots. Begin with the right end of the rope crossing over the left end, and then twist both ends.

2. Next, take the left end of the rope and cross it over the right end, once again twisting both ends.

3. Ensure that both parts of the rope exit the knot together, maintaining symmetry.

Et voila! Your Reef Knot is complete.

Please note that while the Reef Knot, also known as the Square Knot, is quick and easy to tie, it is primarily suitable for securing non-critical items. It is important to emphasize that this knot should NOT be used as a bend for tying two ropes together, as it is unsafe and prone to coming apart.

Thank you for joining us today, and we eagerly anticipate your presence next week for another Savvy Sunday!
