What month did we travel? July/August (Winter)
What rental company did we go through? Britz! The key is to pick-up and drop off in Christchurch. We also didn’t pay the insurance premiums through the company. Instead, we booked it through a 3rd party provider. My final tip, is to book it through a comparison website to get the best deal… for example Motorhome Republic! To be exact, our booking was $452.25 NZD for 9 days… what a winter special!
Where do you park at night? Some places you can free camp it, others you can’t. We did a bit of both. However, on really cold nights we stayed at sites so we could use our extra portable heater which runs on power!!
