In this episode we are using oil and fire on our boat!! But don’t worry, it’s to help her, not to harm her! We are finally installing the first planks, and as they are the garboards and they need to bend and twist a lot, some extra work and care are needed… and that’s why we needed fire!

Recently we decided to purchase a two-masted 70ft wooden schooner in Brazil. The fun detail about our story is that the boat we bought was sinking and relying on many bilge pumps to survive so we had to lift it onto the dry to start a full refit.
