This is part two of our first hurricane on our sailboat. And, we survive! All is well in the Evans boat home. We had a pretty great hide away and the storm didn’t hit nearly as hard as predicted – even got downgraded to a tropical storm (only 70mph instead of 75mph). Same can’t be said about the next storm…but that’s a different video!

Here’s what we *think* we know about her past. Keep in mind we bought her at auction without ever meeting the owner! The owner was sailing along and ran aground – hard. Hard enough that the keel pivoted and pushed the aft end up into the hull. This force cracked the internal grid in several places and broke a portion of the grid free from hull.
