We are freshly home from Vietnam, and we are stoked to get back to working on our own boat. There’s a lot coming up for me (in the next few episodes) of what I learned at Max Cruise for fairing…but first, we backtrack a little.

Going back a few months to this spring, Matt had made gutters for our transom hatches (so no water leaks into them when the door is closed) and we get them attached and prep the area for gelcoat.

Then it’s time for new neighbors in the work yard, and it happens to be another YouTube couple – James and Natalie of Sailing Zeypher!

Just after their arrival we all take a break from work to celebrate the 4th of July in lovely Bay Ridge, just outside of Annapolis. A picture perfect slice of Americana, we made it a full day with parades, egg toss, and fireworks.

Back at the build I begin to prep a few of the bulkheads in our forward berth for fairing – but due to the extreme heat, we have to call it quits at lunch time.

But don’t worry, next week will have us back working on that AND installing the daggerboard case.

We hope you enjoy!

Much love
