This week we look to the wild ride that lies ahead for us in 2025 with completion of the ALUMINIUM PORTOFINO 52, presenting it in the Cannes Boat Show, an ATLANTIC CROSSING, and likely sail up the Caribbean and Bahamas to the USA….
Of the excitement as we we see the Portofino 52 build come to completion so we will see what our various decisions on colours and materials turn out like but even more importantly, how does the 52 actually perform in the water compared to the d=predicted polars…..
We will also have to learn how all the systems work from the hydraulic centreboard, kick up rudder, carbon boom Furler, electrolysis and galvanic corrosion monitors, automatic fuel filters and more…We also share our travel plans thorough the Grande Motte Boat Show in April 2025, hopefully test sails with the One Sail experts as the boat is put through it’s paces.
Also make sure you stay to the end to see the BIG REVEAL that has taken us much time to arrive at this element on the boat and as a bit off fun, Eli also teaches the “best” way to eat cut and mangoes!!!!
