For water, we carried 25 litres each in the back hatch of our kayaks, which had to be carefully rationed as we were uncertain where the next water source was coming from. Coconuts proved a good replacement and we drank as many as we could, when we could. I normally drink quite a lot at home so it didn’t effect my stomach too much, but apparently it can cause the guts to feel “funny”.
We would even cook rice with the coconut water mixed with some ocean water. Which worked really well.
We set out with Strick, Fran and Gunzy on the Salty dingo to catch a feed of fish, the crew catch some seafood off the beach in front of the campsite and we beach-comb for coconuts, firewood and rubbish. Thanks for the support, we hope to see you out here! Az
