Sailing has taught me a lot about myself. It’s taught me how to learn. It’s taught me how to make mistakes. It’s taught me that I’m capable of more than I ever imagined. But this week it taught me that there might be something wrong with me. Here in the Ionian Islands of Greece we have been in one of the most beautiful places that I’ve ever seen, but it is also one of the most crowded, and I find myself constantly on the verge of a nervous breakdown. And I’m forced to confront a very raw and sensitive aspect of myself, one that seems to make me incapable of enjoying such an amazing place.
